You scanned a code in a shop

You scanned a code on a shelf and left your details. Here is exactly what that did.

You are on a list for one thing, at one shop#

Not a newsletter, and not a list at every shop using this software. You asked one shop to tell you when one item is back. If you want to be told about something else, scan the code by that item too.

What you will get#

One email when that item comes back in, from the shop, with their name on it. Some shops also send a text, but only if that shop has set up texting themselves — most have not, so expect an email.

You may not be the only person told. A shop with a few of something back tells more than one person, because not everyone who asks comes in. If you want it, it is worth going soon.

Getting off the list#

Every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Clicking it opens a page and asks you to confirm with a button — that second step is deliberate. Some email apps quietly open every link in a message to preview it, and a one-click link would unsubscribe you without you ever touching it. It also means forwarding the email to a friend cannot knock you off the list by accident.

You can also just ask the shop. It is their list.

Who has your details#

The shop does. Restock Notify is the software they use to run it — we hold the data on their behalf and we do not sell it, rent it, or send you anything of our own. If you want your details deleted, ask the shop and they can remove you; you can also read how we handle data.
